PICA FIERCE Wins 'Norwegian Wacken Metal Battle'

Norwegian thrash/death metal band PICA FIERCE won the "Norwegian Wacken Metal Battle" final this past Friday night (May 9). The competition was held in Trondheim and featured five of the most promising bands in the Norwegian metal scene today. The winner's prize is a slot at this year's Wacken Open Air festival which is being held July 31 - August 2 in Wacken, Germany.

PICA FIERCE's self-titled debut album was mixed at Fascination Street Studios (OPETH, KATATONIA, PAIN OF SALVATION etc.) in Sweden. The LP was released in Norway last November
