PHILM Featuring SLAYER's DAVE LOMBARDO: Hollywood Shows Announced, 7" Single Planned

Los Angeles-based experimental post-hardcore triumvirate PHILM, featuring drummer Dave Lombardo (SLAYER),guitarist/vocalist Gerry Nestler (CIVIL DEFIANCE),and bassist Pancho Tomaselli (WAR),has announced two Hollywood shows. The band will headline a free 21-and-over show at Club My War O))) at the Dragonfly (6510 Santa Monica Blvd.) on Sunday, March 7, and support JUCIFER at Relax Bar (5511 Hollywood Blvd.) on Friday, March 12.

PHILM is scheduled to enter the studio shorty to record a seven-inch single for release via the 2010 Volcom Entertainment's Vinyl Club. The tracks will be helmed by noted U.K. producer Piers Baron, who earlier worked with Lombardo and MOTÖRHEAD's Lemmy Kilmister on their cover of the BEN E. KING classic "Stand By Me" for Flip Skateboards' 2009 "Extremely Sorry" movie soundtrack.
