OZZY OSBOURNE's U.K. Mansion Burglarized

November 22, 2004

The Associated Press is reporting that burlgars broke into Ozzy Osbourne's mansion in England and made off with "a large amount of jewelry" on Monday, police said.

Two men broke into the BLACK SABBATH frontman's home in Chalfont St. Peter, Buckinghamshire, a county bordering London, early in the morning. The burglars used a ladder to enter a second-floor room, and residents of the house were awoken by the break-in, police said.

One of the residents — described by police only as "a man" — grabbed one of the two burglars. The intruder eventually struggled free and jumped out of a 30-foot-tall window, apparently being injured by the fall, police said.

Both thieves were believed to have escaped, but no further details were available, and police said they would not publicly discuss the case against until Tuesday.
