October 16, 2015

According to Birmingham Mail, Ozzy Osbourne has recorded a video message in support of the the Big Hoot auction, which has raised more than £500,000 for Birmingham Children's Hospital in Birmingham, England

Ozzy contributed to the project through Ozzy's Owl, one of eighty-nine eye-catching owl sculptures which were dotted around Birmingham for ten weeks.

It was painted to Ozzy's instructions by his longtime friend Graham Frank Wright.

Said Ozzy in a statement: "My son Louis was in Birmingham Children's Hospital for quite a while as a child and they took such good care of him, which I will always remember. They do amazing work for kids and families in my hometown, so I'm really pleased to be working with my artist friend Graham Frank Wright in bringing an owl design to life to help raise funds for a great cause. It's the perfect collaboration."

Ozzy's Owl raised the second most amount of money for Birmingham Children's Hospital: £12,500.

A total of £508,035.01 was raised from the auction of 85 owls.
