OZZY OSBOURNE Fitted With New Hearing Aids

July 27, 2010

According to the Pioneer Press, Ozzy Osbourne was fitted with new hearing aids by Bill Austin, husband of Starkey Hearing Foundation chairwoman Tani Austin, prior to the Foundation's 10th annual gala Sunday (July 25) in St. Paul, Minnesota.

"Bill is a very generous man," said Osbourne, who attended the Starkey gala for the first time this year. "Every time we want him to do something with us, he shows up. We thought it would be rude if we didn't show up."

Osbourne, along with wife Sharon, provided the climax to two hours of red carpet entrances, according to the Pioneer Press.

The gala, which honored Muhammad Ali, Steve Martin, singer Sam Moore, motivational speaker Harvey Mackay and Best Buy CEO Brad Anderson and wife Janet for humanitarian work, was expected to raise as much as $6 million to help distribute hearing aids to underprivileged children from around the world, Tani Austin said.
