OZZY OSBOURNE Discusses His Relationship With TONY IOMMI, Blasts DIO Funeral Protesters

June 23, 2010

Legendary BLACK SABBATH singer Ozzy Osbourne appeared on the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline" Monday night (June 21) with host Bob Coburn. During the appearance Ozzy shed light on the nature of his current relationship with SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi, following a recently settled lawsuit over the use of the BLACK SABBATH name.

In response to a caller's question, Osbourne revealed the last time he spoke to Iommi. Osbourne said, "I spoke to Mr. Iommi just the day after Ronnie James Dio's funeral." Osbourne went on to say, "I'm going to England tomorrow and I hope to meet up with him and have a chat with him about old times."

Ozzy also blasted the Westboro Baptist Church's protest of Ronnie James Dio's funeral. "I thought it was in such bad taste that those people had those banners about Ronnie James Dio. That's disgusting. They say that we're the anti-christ. Well, what makes them any better?"

In an new interview with AOL's Noisecreep, Osbourne was asked if he will reunite with BLACK SABBATH again. "I am hoping," he replied. "Tony [Iommi] and I spoke a few days ago. It was, 'Let's get together? Sure, mate!' I talk to [drummer] Bill Ward every week. He is one of my dearest friends. We did a song. We are trying to do an album. It might not work out, but I've learned to never say never anymore."
