OZZY OSBOURNE Comes Down With 'Severe Laryngitis', KORN To Headline Tonight's OZZFEST

July 9, 2003

OZZY OSBOURNE has been forced to withdraw from tonight's (July 9) headlining appearance at Ozzfest 2003 after coming down with a case of "severe laryngitis."

The official statement on the cancellation is as follows:

"After struggling through the last 1/2 hour of his two-hour performance in San Francisco last night [July 8], Ozzy Osbourne was examined by his personal physician and was diagnosed with having severe laryngitis. Ozzy's doctor has ordered him to rest his vocal cords for the next few days. This will force Ozzy to sit out his headlining performance at Ozzfest this evening in Marysville, California. However, the show is still going ahead as planned with KORN, MARILYN MANSON, DISTURBED and CHEVELLE performing on the main stage. Ozzy's doctor feels positive that his condition will improve with a few days rest, and Ozzy is looking forward to re-joining Ozzfest at its next stop in Seattle, Washington on Saturday, July 12."
