OZZY Gets Sky-High Welcome In U.S.

January 28, 2004

Ozzy Osbourne had a sky-high welcome from wife Sharon to welcome him back to America, according to the Irish Examiner.

Before Christmas the former BLACK SABBATH singer was involved in a horrific quad-bike accident on his country estate in Britain.

After suffering a range of life-threatening injuries he spent weeks in hospital and only returned to California last week.

He immediately made tracks to his favorite restaurant Lulu's Alibi where he ate a roll stuffed with chips and covered with HP sauce and malt vinegar — named the "Ozzy Sandwich" in his honor.

Owner Lulu said: "When he came in he looked amazingly well — he was in great spirits and was hysterically funny."

While he was eating a plane flew over the restaurant trailing a banner which read: "Welcome Home Ozzy!"

"It was paid for by his wife, and when he saw it, he was totally excited."
