OZZFEST's 'Real' Mystery Band Unveiled: JOURNEY?

April 28, 2005

If you have been wondering which group photo the "mystery band" picture on Ozzfest.com was based on, the unofficial Ozzfest web site Ozzfest.qrow.com has found the answer.

Since initially unveiling the festival's hard-hitting 2005 lineup back on March 15, the Ozzfest organizers have been using an ominous band silhouette — five dudes sporting long hair, striking the standard press photo pose — with three white question marks above it to indicate an open slot on either the festival's main or second stage.

As it turns out, the original photo that this image was based on is of none other than JOURNEY, the kings of classic AOR and keyboard-driven melodic rock who were recently honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
