OVERKILL, METAL CHURCH To Team Up For European Tour

Veteran New Jersey thrashers OVERKILL will embark on the Immortalis European Tour 2009 in February. Support on the trek will come from METAL CHURCH and TORTURE SQUAD.

OVERKILL's second DVD, "Live at Wacken Open Air 2007", came out on February 5 via Bodog Music. The 50-minute disc was shot during the band’s headline set at the festival in front of an audience of 40,000, and features songs that span OVERKILL's 28-year career, including "Walk Through Fire" (which can be viewed below) from the group's new disc "Immortalis", "Rotten to the Core", "Elimination", "Fuck You", "In Union We Stand", "Necroshine", "Skull and Bones", "Old School" and "Wrecking Crew".

METAL CHURCH's new album, "This Present Wasteland", is scheduled for release in Europe on September 26 via SPV Records.

METAL CHURCH recently announced the addition of guitarist Rick Van Zandt (THE END, ROTTWEILLER) to the group's ranks. He replaced Jay Reynolds (also of MALICE),who left the band for "personal reasons."
