OVERKILL, Ex-HADES Members To Mix THE CURSED Debut, Film Video

September 29, 2006

Guitarist Dan Lorenzo (ex-HADES and NON-FICTION) has issued the following update on THE CURSED, his new project also featuring OVERKILL's Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth, bassist Job the Raver (MURDER 1),and drummer Mike Cristi (ex-NON-FICTION):

"Blitz is still on Gigantour with MEGADETH and LAMB OF GOD. The tour ends in about 10 days. After that we'll mix our debut CD, do a photo shoot and film a video for our single, 'Evil, In The Bag', which should be out by Christmas. The-Cursed.net will have more info in a few weeks."

Ellsworth and Lorenzo began collaborating together in late 2005, and came up with a style that while still heavy, is a departure from the intense metal of OVERKILL.

"Dan and I always 'fit' on a personal level," Ellsworth previously said. "We've been friends since NON-FICTION toured with OVERKILL in '93 — professionally, he's a riff-monster. I always thought, 'If I could get my hands on one of those riffs...' Well, now I can and the result is by all means cursed." The New Jersey-based group soon caught the attention of Screaming Ferret Wreckords, who recently signed the quartet. An early 2007 release is expected.

Songs from the forthcoming yet-to-be-titled THE CURSED debut include:

01. Sweeter
02. Evil, in the Bag
03. Breaking Her Down
04. Best of the Worst
05. Native Tongue
06. Serpentine Slither
07. All's Right
08. Leven Als God in Frankrijk (English translation: God in France)
09. One Time
10. Queen of the Down
11. Generate Her

THE CURSED lineup:

Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth (OVERKILL) - Vocals
Dan Lorenzo (HADES) - Guitar
Mike Cristi (NON-FICTION) - Drums
Job the Raver (MURDER 1) - Bass
