Original DEEP PURPLE Bassist To Take Part In Tribute Shows In Austria And Germany

According to a posting on the Deep Purple Appreciation Society web site, original DEEP PURPLE bassist Nick Simper will play some more shows in Austria and Germany in November 2008 with the Austrian rock band NASTY HABITS. It will be a special PURPLE Mark 1 tribute show with only songs from the first three DEEP PURPLE albums: 1968's "Shades of Deep Purple", 1968's "The Book Of Taliesyn" and 1969's "Deep Purple".

DEEP PURPLE's original lineup featured Simper alongside Ritchie Blackmore (guitar), Jon Lord (keyboards), Rod Evans (lead vocals), and Ian Paice (drums).
