Opinion: THE OSBOURNES Are A Mix Of Alcohol, Drugs And A Total Disregard For Order

April 5, 2004

Paragould Daily Press editor Travis Justice, who achieved BLABBERMOUTH.NET notoriety for penning an editorial about the "flawed" Norwegian justice system by spotlighting the case of former BURZUM leader/convicted murderer Varg Vikernes (a.k.a. Count Grishnack) in January, has attempted to examine the Osbournes phenomenon in his latest editorial, which appears in today's edition of the paper. An excerpt:

"On any given episode, a shirtless Ozzy can be seen hobbling around the house, mumbling curse words and making the most of his remaining brain cells. He comes across as an aging Parkinson's sufferer who's on the brink of Alzheimer's. But despite owing his condition to countless years of substance abuse, he does elicit a small measure of pity from viewers.

"Sharon, on the other hand, deserves no mercy, simply because of her permissive attitude with regard to her kids. Without a true father figure in their life, the couple's children — at least the two who are willing to appear on camera — have been raised without boundaries, without discipline and without care. And Sharon couldn't be more proud."
