ONCE DEAD Parts Ways With Singer, Announces Replacement

September 25, 2006

ONCE DEAD, the Christian metal band featuring former members of VENGEANCE RISING and HIRAX guitarist Glenn Rogers, has issued the following update:

"We are very sorry to announce that our dear friend and bandmate Scott Waters will no longer be the frontman for ONCE DEAD. Scott is an exceptionally talented and amazing vocalist; and one of the best people I have ever worked with. His attitude has always been positive, and his willingness to sacrifice so much of his time for the benefit of the band has been incredible. He has placed so much time and effort into ONCE DEAD that without a doubt the band will never be the same. The issues with a long-distance working relationship have simply become too burdensome to overcome. The associated expenses with flying Scott back and forth and keeping him here on an extended basis have become cost-prohibitive. We will miss Scott dearly and we are very sad that we have come to this crossroad. We thank Scott for all of his time and effort, and we wish him all the best. He will be greatly missed by all of us in the band. Understanding that many ONCE DEAD fans are also Scott Waters fans, we apologize to you as well. We understand your frustration and disappointment.

"In trying to find a suitable front-man we needed to find someone who has the same level of commitment, and who also lives locally. We believe we have found this in our new frontman Devin Shaeffer (former vocalist for FASEDOWN).

"In regards to the upcoming ONCE DEAD release, it has for obvious reasons, been pushed back. Our new release date is now December 15, 2006. The new date allows us to work with Devin on the new material, as well as tie up all of the loose ends with distribution etc. All preorders will be honored, and will be awarded by additional material available only on pre sale orders. If anyone desires a refund for their pre sale order, they can simply e-mail us with their PayPal order confirmation # and your account will credited."
