NIKKI SIXX Wishes Former Girlfriend KAT VON D 'Nothing But The Very Best'

August 22, 2010

MÖTLEY CRÜE/SIXX: A.M. bassist Nikki Sixx has issued the following statement regarding reports that his former girlfriend, 28-year-old tattoo artist Kat Von D (born Katherine Von Drachenberg),is dating motorcycle mogul and Sandra Bullock's ex-husband Jesse James:

"My office has been inundated with requests for a statement or interviews. The only thing I wanna say is, 'I wish Kat nothing but the very best. Right now I am focusing on my family, the 'Sixx Sense' radio show, the [second] SIXX: A.M. album and my upcoming book.' Any quote attributed to me other than this is inaccurate."

In an August 12 posting on his MySpace page, Sixx wrote that MÖTLEY CRÜE's recently completed European tour was "one of the best times of my life." He added, "Not only were the crowds great but I also had such a wonderful time having Kat along with me for the whole tour. We soaked in [the] beautiful countrysides and foods together. Her new season of 'L.A. Ink' [the TLC TV show featuring Kat Von D] just premiered and for her to take time out of her equally busy life (including planning her book tour) was something I was just blown away by. I know a lot of [the CRÜE fans] got to meet her and that made her happy, too."

Sixx made an appearance in the premiere episode of the new season of "L.A. Ink". In the episode, Sixx and his radio co-host Kerri Kasem welcomed Kat to the Los Angeles radio studio for an interview on "Sixx Sense". Future episodes in season four of the top-rated television show will feature Sixx at Kat's High Voltage Tattoo in Hollywood as he gets a tattoo of his "Sixx Sense" radio logo by Kat.
