NICKELBACK: Official Lyric Video For New Single 'Edge Of A Revolution'

August 19, 2014

The official lyric video for "Edge Of A Revolution", the new single from long-running Canadian rockers NICKELBACK, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's new album, due this fall via the group's new label home, Republic Records.

"I've been a fan of the band since their inception," Republic Records co-founder and CEO Monte Lipman, who signed the band as a collaboration with Universal Music Canada CEO Randy Lennox, told Billboard.com. "Unfortunately, like many people, I had the opportunity to sign them and blanked, and missed one of the biggest opportunities of my career."

Lennox told Billboard.com that that he and Lipman were "blown away" by NICKELBACK's new material, and that "[NICKELBACK mainman] Chad [Kroeger] and the band's writing is, I think, better than ever."

NICKELBACK signed a 360 deal with Live Nation in 2008, and "Here And Now" was the final studio effort under its deal with Roadrunner. That effort has sold 1.02 million copies to date, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

NICKELBACK has amassed sales of more than 50 million albums worldwide, and the band's last five releases have debuted in the Top 10 of The Billboard 200 — and at No. 1 in its homeland.

Kroeger formed NICKELBACK in 1995 in Hanna, Alberta, with his brother Mike on bass and guitarist Ryan Peake. Drummer Daniel Adair joined in 2005.
