NICKELBACK picked up three plaques at the fourth annual Prairie Music Awards, held Sunday in Winnipeg, Canada. Frontman Chad Kroeger & Co. were honored in the "Songwriter of the Year" category, and their Silver Side Up CD took home "Rock Recording" and "Major Label Album" awards. Surprisingly, NICKELBACK lost out on the "Entertainer Of The Year" award, which was based on fan votes. The band, who were unable to attend the ceremony, sent two videotaped acceptance speeches.
