NEW RENAISSANCE RECORDS Seeks Bands For New 'Speed Metal Hell' Compilation

August 30, 2007

New Renaissance Records, the record label which claims to have coined the term "speed metal," is looking for new bands for their first compilation album in twenty years.

In the early 1980s New Renaissance Records released the first American recordings of SEPULTURA, MORBID ANGEL, FLOTSAM AND JETSAM, AT WAR, HELLION, MAYHEM, ARTILLERY, BATHORY, BLOOD FEAST, POST MORTEM, WEHRMACHT, and more. Many acts got their start by appearing on the legendary "Speed Metal Hell" series.

In honor of the label's upcoming 25th anniversary, New Renaissance Records is seeking unsigned bands that represent the next wave of metal on a new "Speed Metal Hell" compilation. Interested acts should submit: (1) a recording of no more that four songs, (2) photos of the band, (3) press-clippings and reviews of live shows (if any),and (4) a list of recent and upcoming performances.

Packages should be mailed to:

Speed Metal Hell
c/o New Renaissance Records
P.O. Box 4825
Valley Village, CA 91617

The compilation album will be sold internationally at a discounted rate and available on major web sites worldwide. It will be serviced to metal media worldwide. And it may be issued on vinyl in a limited edition. Several old-school bands who appeared on New Renaissance in the 1980s will be contributing new material. According to the label, "royalties will be paid."
