NEGATIVE Named 'Best Finnish Act' At MTV's 'European Music Awards'

November 2, 2007

NEGATIVE was honored in the "Best Finnish Act" category at MTV's European Music Awards Thursday night (November 1) in Munich, Germany .

The band is currently taking a break from touring and getting ready to start the recording sessions for its fourth album. A 2008 release is expected.

Russia's HeadBanger.ru webzine has uploaded photos from NEGATIVE's October 26, 2007 concert at Club Apelsin in Moscow. Check them out at this location.

NEGATIVE will release its new DVD, "In the Eye of the Hurricane", in Finland in early 2008. In a recent interview with HeadBanger.ru, the band's frontman Jonne Aaron said the following about the DVD: "We shot two live shows for it, and we’re not sure yet which one is gonna be on the DVD. One was recorded at Pakkahuone here in Tampere and the other one was recorded at Nosturi in Helsinki. At Nosturi the audience was great, but the band wasn't so tight; we had a few weeks' break that show. I'm more like a perfectionist, you know. Whatever I do, I like to do it as good as possible. There's gonna be a historical part on the DVD, there's a lot of backstage material from the entire history of the band, from 1999 to 2007. Let's see when it's gonna be out, hopefully in January. It's like our 'Chinese Democracy'."

NEGATIVE's third album, "Anorectic", entered the Finnish chart at position No. 1.
