Montreal, Quebec, Canada-based black/death metallers NECRONOMICON have issued the following update:
After X-mas and the massive drinking and eating season, NECRONOMICON's new album, 'The Return Of The Witch', is at the end of the mixing sessions, which was on hold due to an out-of-control-event that occurred before the holidays. Nonetheless, the new album is so far the best, most brutal and epic album from the band."
Says Rob The Witch (guitars/lead vocals): "It's the first time that NECRONOMICON look and sound as the way it should be."
Bart Frydrychowicz (Studio 40 West) says, "The best NECRONOMICON album, the songs are amazing!"
NECRONOMICON last spring shot a video for the new song "The Time Is Now" from "Return of the Witch".
"Return of the Witch" will feature guest appearances by Arianne Fleury (ex-AUGURY) and Roxanne Constantin (NEGATIVA, QUO VADIS), among others.
The band previously stated that the follow-up to 2003's "The Sacred Medicines" would "probably be the fastest and most brutal" CD the group has released thus far.
Other songtitles set to appear on the album include "Into the Fire", "Alpha Omega", "The Awakening", and "Return of the Witch".
