NAPALM DEATH Recording More Covers For 'Leaders Not Followers 2'

July 15, 2003

NAPALM DEATH bassist Shane Embury has posted the following message to the band's official web site:

"Hi there. Been busy as hell over the past couple of weeks recording the 'Leaders Not Followers 2' album [of covers], 19 tracks recorded and about half of those finished with vocals. [Singer] Barney [Greenway] is in the studio tomorrow to finish off the rest of the album so things are way on track.

"Also had Jim Whiteley (b-side of 'Scum' bass player) down a couple of weekends ago. We decided to get him into the studio to record a couple of tracks on the album and he kindly obliged. Laying down some pretty ferocious stuff on our covers of DISCHARGE's 'War's No Fairytale' and ANTI-CIMEX's 'Game Of The Assholes', so well done there mate — plenty of cider coming your way !!!

"This will be the second release for the [band's own] Feto label — no release date as yet as we have a few things to work out first, Though we are pretty excited about the whole thing."
