MY RUIN Announce U.K. Tour

January 3, 2006

MY RUIN, the Los Angeles-based band fronted by Tairrie B., will be headlining a U.K. tour in support of their new album, "The Brutal Language", in January. U.K. labelmates GU MEDICINE, LAZARUS BLACKSTAR and B-MOVIE HEROES will be joining MY RUIN on the trek, which begins at The Mean Fiddler in London on January 18. This show, which also happens to be Tairrie's birthday, will be filmed for MY RUIN's upcoming DVD, "Spilling Open", to be released later in the year via their own imprint, Rovena Recordings, through Undergroove in Europe. A pre-tour kick off party on January 16 at The Ghetto club in London will feature a rock DJ set by Tairrie and MY RUIN guitarist Mick Murphy.

"This will be our third time DJing at The Ghetto," said Murphy. "We've had a great time in the past getting to hang with our friends and fans of our band while getting to play everything from KING DIAMOND to SCISSORFIGHT to NWA. It is going to be a cool way to start the tour and introduce our new rhythm section to everyone."

The night will also include a playback party at Trash Palace earlier in the evening to celebrate the release of "Death Has Become Her" by THE LVRS, the spoken-word side project set to musical soundscapes featuring both Mick and Tairrie. Previously having only been available for purchase via the band's website and at MY RUIN shows, this is the first "official" release. The album hits the streets on Valentine's Day and will be available in advance on the band's upcoming U.K. tour in January. Heavily themed in Love, Violence, Religion, Sex, Death and Romance, "Death Has Become Her" features selected tracks from both "The Murder of Miss Hollywood" and "The Secret Life of Lola Burns" (the first two CD chapters from THE LVRS) plus two new stories for your listening pleasure as well as brand new booklet.

In other news, MY RUIN have announced the addition of new drummer Matt Lechevalier to the group's ranks, along with bassist Chris Lisee, who has been with MY RUIN since early 2005. Lechevalier joined the band following part II of the Jagermeister-sponsored "Double Shot of Rock Tour" in the U.S., which ended in November 2005. MY RUIN have confirmed their first performance of the new year for January 7 at The Whisky in Hollywood with special guests THE MERCY CLINIC, featuring vocalist Patrick Lachman (ex-DAMAGEPLAN) and guitarist Brian Harrah (ex-PROFESSIONAL MURDER MUSIC and TURA SATANA, Tairrie's former band). MY RUIN has also be asked to open two shows on the Jagermeister Music Tour with DISTURBED and BLOODSIMPLE on January 12 at Warfield Theatre in San Francisco and January 13 at Memorial Auditorium in Sacramento. The band have posted three full-length songs from "The Brutal Language", produced by Mick Murphy and mixed by Grammy award-winning producer Nick Raskulinecz (FOO FIGHTERS, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, VELVET REVOLVER),on their www.myspace.com/myruin jukebox and on the band's official web site, www.myruin.com.
