August 24, 2010

New Jersey-based metallers MUTINY WITHIN have posted their cover version of the AC/DC classic "Highway To Hell" on their MySpace page. The track appears exlusively on Metal Hammer's AC/DC tribute bonus CD which was released to celebrate the 30th anniversary of AC/DC's classic "Back In Black" album. Also available is the song "Images (Live)" from the iTunes special edition of MUTINY WITHIN's self-titled debut CD.

MUTINY WITHIN recently parted ways with drummer Bill Fore and replaced him with 25-year-old "fellow Jerseyan" Chad Anthony. The band said in a statement, "It wasn't an easy decision [to split with Bill], but we wish him the best of luck moving forward. He's a great drummer and will always be a part of [the MUTINY WITHIN debut] album."

The self-titled debut album from MUTINY WITHIN sold around 900 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 41 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

"Mutiny Within" was released on February 23 via Roadrunner Records. The CD was recorded at Bieler Bros. Studios in Pompano Beach, Florida with producer Jason Bieler (SIKTH, SKINDRED, DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL, NONPOINT) and was mixed by Jeff Rose and Martin "Ginge" Ford of Nott-In-Pill studios in Newport, Wales, United Kingdom.

The initial sessions for the CD took place at Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida with producer Jason Suecof, who has previously worked with ALL THAT REMAINS, GOD FORBID, TRIVIUM and DEVILDRIVER, among many others.
