MUNICIPAL WASTE Have A Fan In ANTHRAX's SCOTT IAN

March 2, 2006

Perhaps you're a fan of MUNICIPAL WASTE's incredible ability to thrash it up? Well, you're not alone. In a recent interview in Guitar World magazine, ANTHRAX guitarist Scott Ian expressed his admiration for the band as well. When Ian was asked if he thought there were any bands today that are keeping up the thrash tradition, he pointed toward Richmond-based MUNICIPAL WASTE for the answer. "Yeah, absolutely," Ian stated. "There's band on Earache Records called MUNICIPAL WASTE, and their album 'Hazardous Mutation' is the closest thing I've heard to that mid-Eighties, D.R.I./ EXODUS crossover thrash sound. That record absolutely rules."

MUNICIPAL WASTE will be hitting the road in the United States starting March 15 in Little Rock, AR.
