September 8, 2011

"Wastelands Within", a brand new song from Mnster, Germany-based melodic death metallers MOURNING CARESS, can be streamed using the ReverbNation TuneWidget below. The track, which features a guest appearance by vocalist Mikael Stanne of Swedish melodic death metallers DARK TRANQUILLITY, comes off the band's third album, "Deep Wounds, Bright Scars", which will be released on November 4 via the German label MDD Records. The CD was recorded and mixed at DocMaKlang studios in Osnabrck, Germany with producer Matthias Lohmller and was mastered by Ulf Horbelt at DMS in Marl, Germany. The cover art was created by Bjrn Goosses of Killustrations.

"Deep Wounds, Bright Scars" contains nine tracks plus a cover of the SCORPIONS classic "Blackout" as a bonus track. According to the band, "Some tunes are the heaviest and fastest in the history of MOURNING CARESS, some groove like shit and all of them will enchant you with beautiful melodies. The vocals still sound frustrated, fragile and full of despair. This well-known combination will surely please all fans of [previous MOURNING CARESS albums] 'Imbalance' and 'Inner Exile'."

MOURNING CARESS is:

Gerrit Mohr - Vocals
Dominik Schlter - Drums
Florian Albers - Guitar
Wolfgang Sander - Guitar
Daniel Busche - Bass
