MOSHPIT TRAGEDY RECORDS Announces Third Free Album Download

July 15, 2007

Two weeks ago, Canada's Moshpit Tragedy Records announced it will give away one of its out-of-print releases for free download from their web site each week for eight weeks.

Moshpit Tragedy co-founder Rayny Forster comments: "Our first eight releases are now out of print and as both a thank you and as a kind of final push to get these releases into the hands of underground music fans, we're offering a high-quality download of one release per week in its entirety — absolutely free of charge. We invite those who missed out on the physical product to check out the bands and enjoy these free MP3s."

Kicking off the third week (July 15-21) of the promotion will be Saudi Arabia's grindcore act CREATIVE WASTE, with the five tracks that comprised their 2006 effort "Colonies" which was released as part of Moshpit Tragedy's "DIY Series".

According to a press release, "CREATIVE WASTE was founded in 2002 and is the only grindcore band in Saudi Arabia thus far. They played at the first public Saudi Arabian gig ever. It happened by accident, they were actually trying to score with chicks and shit. They sucked ass in the beginning, and really thought the 'Leave It to Beaver' cover would roll in the ladies, but all it rolled in was hating fans and endless nightmares of getting beaten senseless by bouncers. The crowds there aren't much but CREATIVE WASTE still plays their balls off to satisfy whoever enjoys their music and grindcore in general."

Moshpit Tragedy Records "free download schedule" is as follows:

July 1-7: NO SOULS LOST "These Dead Years"
July 8-14: STEP ON IT "Allschool Monster"
July 15-21: CREATIVE WASTE "Colonies"
July 22-28: THE PARANOID "Demography"
July 29-Aug 4: CORPROPHEMIA "Demo"
Aug 5-11: CLUSTERFUXX "Peace E.P."
Aug 12-18: Various Artists "69 Minutes of Shit From 8 Assholes"
Aug 19-25: Various Artists "Moshpit Tragedy Presents"
