MORTIIS To Perform At Norway's MUSIKKFEST 06

Norway's legendary eccentric artist MORTIIS will be performing at Musikkfest 06 on June 3. This is a free outdoor festival located in Middelalderparken Oslo, Norway. Also scheduled to appear are VESEN, SHE SAID DESTROY, MADDER MORTEM and VREID. The festival starts at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 11:00 p.m. Mortiis will be on stage between 10:20 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.

Mortiis recently parted ways with Earache Records and is currently seeking a new label home. In an interview with Blastwave webzine, Mortiis said of his label situation, "Right now, I'm between labels and making demos for new songs. There's some really cool stuff that [we played on the recent U.K. tour]. I'm too old to sign another crappy deal. I'm just gonna step back and see what happens. I've also been talking to one director about doing some soundtrack work."
