MORTIFICATION: New Audio Interview With STEVE ROWE Available

May 5, 2008

"The VM Underground" show last week conducted an interview with vocalist/bassist Steve Rowe of the Australian Christian metallers MORTIFICATION. According to Rowe, "The discussion covers the eighteen-year spectrum of MORTIFICATION, plus a bunch of my thoughts and reflections relating to metal music in general. This podcast will give you the most definitive insight into how I see the band's progression and will help you better understand exactly how and why the MORTIFICATION history has unfolded the way it has. I hope you enjoy listening to it."

Steve added, "I have almost completed my best new songs to be recorded for the next MORTIFICATION album. From twenty songs I have written in the past two years. I am currently presenting the best eight to the other guys. Mick [Jelinic, guitar] is still working on his best new tunes, too. We will collaborate on these and then I will put lyrics to Mick's two or three musical contributions. I have a title for the album but that is under lock and key until next year. We are looking at recording throughout next March and April for a mid-2009 release. Things are moving slowly because the edit of the 'Live Humanitarian' DVD is taking much longer than first expected, but I can assure you that it will be worth the wait."
