Mooning OZZY OSBOURNE Steals HALL OF FAME Show: Photos Available

November 17, 2005

Ireland Online is reporting that Ozzy Osbourne stole the show at the UK Music Hall of Fame ceremony by baring his bottom at the audience (Photo#1, Photo#2, Photo#3, Photo#4).

Osbourne was performing on stage with his band, BLACK SABBATH, to mark their induction last night.

After telling the star-studded crowd "I've seen more life at a fucking wake," he dropped his jeans and bared all.

The crowd — including wife Sharon and daughter Kelly and son Jack — gave him a standing ovation.

Afterwards he said: "I thought they needed livening up a bit. That was a lot of fun."

BLACK SABBATH were one of nine acts inducted into the Hall of Fame last night.

PINK FLOYD, THE WHO, THE KINKS, THE EURYTHMICS and JOY DIVISION/NEW ORDER were on the list, along with BOB DYLAN, JIMI HENDRIX and ARETHA FRANKLIN.

The late DJ John Peel was made an honorary member. His wife Sheila and brother Alan accepted the award on his behalf.

The show ended with a performance of the John Peel tribute single, a cover of the BUZZCOCKS hit "Ever Fallen In Love", which is released on Monday.

Presenters at the ceremony included Bob Geldof, QUEEN's Brian May, England football hero Geoff Hurst and U.S. actor Woody Harrelson.

PINK FLOYD were inducted after they briefly reunited in July this year to appear at Live 8.

Band member Roger Waters told the audience: "The response we have had from the public has been very touching, not least when we were all together on that day in July this year. It was great to be together again."

The ceremony was hosted by Dermot O'Leary from Alexandra Palace in north London.

The inductees are chosen by a panel of artists, music journalists, broadcasters and music-industry executives. Last year's inaugural inductees included ELVIS PRESLEY, THE BEATLES, MADONNA and U2.

The ceremony will be broadcast today on the U.K.'s Channel 4.
