MOONDANCE JAM 19 Sets Attendance Records

July 29, 2010

The recently concluded Moondance Jam 19 set attendance records in 2010 with a daily sellout of over 18,000 fans jamming the festival grounds in Walker. The three-day rock festival opened a day early with a regional band pre-party on July 14 that drew 5,000 fans and concluded on July 17 with a completely packed house that was treated to a fantastic performance by legendary southern rockers LYNYRD SKYNYRD. Headliners SAMMY HAGAR and REO SPEEDWAGON rocked to a full concert area on Thursday and Friday night, respectively. BUCKCHERRY, PAT BENATAR, COLLECTIVE SOUL, JONNY LANG, TONIC, DON FELDER, CINDERELLA, BLACKBERRY SMOKE, BLACKSTONE CHERRY, HOOBASTANK, PAT TRAVERS and THE SMITHEREENS also put on incredible shows throughout the festival.

"Every single show was spectacular this year," said owner Bill Bieloh. "The energy was unreal. The concert area was full from at least seven o'clock until closing each night. I really think we saw 'Moondance Magic' this year. There was great talent, nice weather, huge fun crowds and a dozen or more HD cameras buzzing around the main stage all weekend filming us for DIRECTV."

Next year the 20th anniversary of Moondance Jam will be held July 14-16, 2011, with a pre-party on July 13. With the attendance records that were seen in 2010, Moondance Jam 20 is expected to sell out early.

As a "thank you" to the fans, Moondance Jam will continue the special offer of a $90, three-day general admission ticket for Moondance Jam 20 that was available at the Jam this year. This offer is only available until Friday, July 30, 2010. Order online at www.moondancejam.com or call 1-877-MOONJAM.

For those who missed the Jam this year or want to relive it, 10 shows from Moondance Jam 19 will be aired in HD on DIRECTV this fall and replayed over the next two years. The shows will be part of DIRECTV's exclusive concert series on The 101 Network (DIRECTV channel 101). Check www.directv.com in October for schedules.
