MODERN DAY ZERO To Open For ALICE IN CHAINS On Select Dates

July 11, 2006

St. Louis, Missouri-based hard rockers MODERN DAY ZERO have been confirmed as the opening act for ALICE IN CHAINS on the following dates:

Aug. 03 - Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach, NH
Aug. 04 - Starland Ballroom - Sayreville, NJ
Aug. 05 - Musikfest @ River Place Venue - Bethleham, PA

Commented MODERN DAY ZERO guitarist Rock: "MODERN DAY ZERO has been offered an opportunity to tour with a legendary group that has played a huge part of our individual and collective musical inspiration. With the passing of lead singer, Layne Staley, not only did we never expect to have the opportunity to see the remaining members of ALICE IN CHAINS performing together again… we certainly never expected to be offered the incredible opportunity to share the stage with them! MODERN DAY ZERO is in the running to be the opener for ALICE IN CHAINS for their entire next leg of their tour and we could not afford to blow that chance by not accepting the offer of these dates! This is without question... a once-in-a-lifetime chance and we are so grateful to everyone involved."

MODERN DAY ZERO's latest CD, "Coming Up for Air", was released in November 2004 via Bullet 339 Records. More information is available at www.moderndayzero.com.
