MINISTRY Frontman: It's Time For GEORGE W. BUSH To Go

Cleveland, Ohio's "The Metal Show" (TheMetalShow.com),which airs on 92.3 FM WXTM (Xtreme Radio),recently challenged MINISTRY frontman Al Jorgenson to a live, on-air political debate. Here's what Al had to say when asked why he chose to use the band's new album, "Houses of the Molé", to make his political statement to the world: "You know. It's great to be like a Ben Affleck, or like everyone else that goes, 'I like John Kerry' and think they are a political overviewer. The point is that with me, we're down here in El Paso, Texas, and half the people that I know are stationed in Iraq. It's getting really creepy, and we just decided that it's time to pay more than just lip service to the situation. Then, digging around with people like, thank God, Michael Moore or Eric Alterman, or a lot of people that have written books, we just decided that it was time to get involved."

Asked about his voting history prior to this election, Al said, "I never voted until Nader last election. I feel bad about that, because as far as I'm concerned, there's a new special interest, a new lobbyist, a new agendaist that needs to go into Washington, because the ones that are already in Washington have been in there for a lot of years and are growing old. Maybe the Kerry camp, even though Kerry may not be the best of both worlds, it would be a new special interest in there. The ones that are in there right now are just so arrogant and so greedy and so blood-for-profit and so Halliburton that it's time to go."
