MIND'S EYE Prepare To Record New Album

July 2, 2006

MIND'S EYE, the Swedish progressive rock/metal band featuring former/current members of THERION, SECRET SPHERE and NOVAK, will enter the studio at the end of July to record 13 new songs.

"After the huge success of 'Walking on H20' [2006, Lion Music], MIND'S EYE takes a steep even further into the band's new sound," reads a press release. "Now the band heads on journey of a much heavier and darker path, something that fits perfect with the particular story and theme.

"The new album, entitled 'A Gentleman's Hurricane', [represents] another concept story by [drummer] Daniel Flores. The story deals with an assassin's life and whom he killed, everything based on 90% actual facts and 10% fiction, making this an essential nail-biting journey for anyone. The booklet will again be done by Mattias Norén (EVERGREY, JOHN PETRUCCI, ARENA),this time really going into depths with the characters in the story, really making them come alive like never before. The band will also record a DVD, including footage of the band in the studio, interviews and behind-the-scenes (of the video shooting) and live footage never seen before (from the earlier days of MIND’S EYE). The band will also include a video of the song 'Feed My Revolver' (animated and with the band) directed by the amazing talent Fredrik Englund (www.ninjafredde.com),which makes this package irresistible if you are a true fan of the band." A February/March 2007 release is expected.
