MIDDIAN: In-Store Performance, Signing Session Scheduled

March 31, 2007

MIDDIAN, the band featuring former YOB leader Mike Scheidt, will take part in an in-store performance and signing session on Friday, April 6 at 8:00 p.m. at CD World in Eugene, Oregon.

MIDDIAN just released its debut album, "Age Eternal", via Metal Blade Records.

In 2005, Mike Scheidt, founding member of YOB, paved the way for his current project, MIDDIAN. Scheidt recalls, "I decided to start a new band: very much in the vein of YOB, but more angry and mid-paced on average, but still with roots in slow doom and the cosmic vibe that was a part of YOB."

"Age Eternal", is MIDDIAN's first studio album — not only a heavy, doom rocker album, but also has a hardcore punk influence.

With their faster riffs, chord melody, and kick-you-in-the-teeth aggressiveness they are sure to be talked about for a very long time. Mike Scheidt puts it best, "Everyone who is seeing MIDDIAN right now is standing witness to our new beginning and we look forward to much exploring and experimentation in the coming years with our riffage."

MIDDIAN is about to start a U.S. tour that will run through May.
