MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP To Support BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION In U.K.

MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP (MSG) will support BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION — the Anglo-American rock supergroup featuring the talents of bassist/vocalist Glenn Hughes (DEEP PURPLE, TRAPEZE, BLACK SABBATH),blues rock guitarist/vocalist Joe Bonamassa, drummer Jason Bonham (LED ZEPPELIN),and keyboardist Derek Sherinian (DREAM THEATER) — on their U.K. tour.

The dates are as follows:

July 23 - Llandudno, Wales - Cymru Arena
July 26 - Leeds, UK - O2 Academy
July 27 - Newcastle, UK - O2 Academy
July 29 - Glasgow, UK - O2 Academy
July 30 - Manchester, UK - Academy

Inakustik/MVD released MSG (MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP)'s "The 30th Anniversary Concert - Live In Tokyo" CD/DVD/Blu-Ray in October. This performance was recorded in January 2010 during the band's 30th-anniversary Japanese tour. On this trek, the MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP consisted of Michael Schenker (guitar),Gary Barden (vocals),Simon Phillips (drums),Wayne Findlay (guitar, keyboards),and Neil Murray (bass). The band, in impeccable form, blasts through a track list highlighting all stages of Schenker's career: from UFO and SCORPIONS hits, through MSG classic tracks, to his solo compositions.

BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION will release its second album, simply entitled "2", in Europe on June 13 via Mascot Records and in the U.S. on June 14, 2011 through the J&R Adventures label.
