'METALLICA Tribute Night' To Be Held Friday At Grizzlies Stadium

August 11, 2004

The Fresno Grizzlies will return to Grizzlies Stadium and open a four-game homestand this Friday night with a special "Metallica Tribute Night." The players will be wearing special METALLICA-themed jerseys on the field, and each player’s jersey will be up for silent auction during the game in front of the Team Store until the end of the 6th inning. Between innings, the Grizzlies promise to "load" all of your favorite METALLICA music and play their greatest hits. After the game the winners will get to go onto the field and take the jersey right off the player's back. In addition, one lucky METALLICA fan will get a chance to throw out the first pitch Friday before the game. If you think you are METALLICA's biggest fan, send an e-mail to [email protected] before Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. and state why you're METALLICA's biggest fan

Spitzer's Sound Stage of Fresno has provided a black Ibanez electric guitar, along with an amp, strap and a free guitar lesson (totaling over $700 in value) for one lucky fan! Fans are encouraged to swing by Spitzer's Sound Stage of Fresno to register, or register at the stadium on Friday night. The winner will be drawn at the conclusion of the game.
