METALLICA To Return To The U.K. In June

METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich revealed at Friday night's show at London's Earls Court that the band are scheduled to return to the U.K. next spring with the following two dates:

Jun. 02 - Glasgow, SCO - Download Festival
Jun. 06 - Donington Park, U.K. - Download Festival

According to reports in the Dutch media, both SLIPKNOT and KORN are said to be opening for METALLICA at the show in Amsterdam, Netherlands on June 21, 2004. SLIPKNOT are believed to have secured the opening slot at several dates on the tour, including all the Scandinavian shows in late May.

METALLICA will perform the third single off "St. Anger", "The Unnamed Feeling", on Fox TV's "America's Party", which will air live from Las Vegas at 11 p.m. ET (tape-delayed for the West Coast).

"America's Party" will take place in Las Vegas' Venetian Resort Hotel/Casino. The performances will be augmented by footage of the parties along Las Vegas' famed strip, as well as live coverage of the Times Square New Year's celebration in New York.

METALLICA are scheduled to perform a late-night show at the Hard Rock's nightclub the Joint shortly after their Fox TV appearance.
