METALLICA To Guest On MTV2's 'Headbanger's Ball'

June 13, 2004

METALLICA will be the special guests on the July 10 edition of MTV2's "Headbanger's Ball". The band are expected to discuss their upcoming documentary, "Some Kind of Monster", which is scheduled to be released in small theaters in New York and San Francisco on July 9, with plans to show the movie in other U.S. markets by the fall.

The fourth video from METALLICA's "St. Anger", "Some Kind Of Monster", made its on-air debut on this weekend's edition of "Headbanger's Ball". "Headbanger's Ball" airs Saturdays from 10-12 p.m. EST on MTV2.

The "Some Kind Of Monster" video will be included on an EP of the same name, due on July 13 through Elektra Records. In addition to the title cut, the EP will also contain an edit of the same song, as well as live versions of "The Four Horsemen", "Damage, Inc.", "Leper Messiah", "Motorbreath", "Ride the Lightning" and "Hit the Lights" (originally released on the U.K. EP release of "The Unnamed Feeling"). The live cuts are from a June 11, 2003 show in Paris.
