METALLICA Make 'Unexpected' Appearance At Kansas City Eatery
According to The Kansas City Star, some of the members of METALLICA took in a show by piano man Vince Cook at the troubled eatery Joe D's on 39th (web site) when they opted not to go to a certain local juice bar during their visit to Kansas City earlier this year.
"It was just one of those unexpected things," said Joe D's GM Jim Nimmo. "They sat in the back cocktail area for 2 1/2 hours and drank $29 shots of tequila and sent requests to Vince. The most fun of all was their bodyguard. He was standing at the back and waving his cell phone so his brother could hear the music. It was hysterical."
