METALLICA Fans In Australia Fuming Over Scalpers

Tristan Willes of Australia's AdelaideNow.com.au reports: Scalpers have hijacked Adelaide's METALLICA concert, reselling tickets bought in an exclusive pre-sale offer to desperate fans for more than twice the retail price.

From last Friday, the Visa Entertainment Pre-sale on Ticketek.com allowed Visa card holders to book tickets to the Australian leg of the World Magnetic 2010 tour.

The Adelaide Entertainment Centre's concert on November 15 has already sold its full allocation of pre-sale tickets.

Dozens of scalpers immediately hit eBay with hundreds of tickets for sale, in breach of Ticketek's sale conditions. Bidding for the tickets started at $51 for two and the price for two Gold reserved seats already has soared to $699. The Ticketek price is $150 a ticket.
