METAL MIKE Delivers New Metal Guitar Instructional DVD

August 5, 2013

A longtime contributor to Guitar World magazine with his "Metal For Life" instructional column, metal guitar shredder "Metal" Mike Chlasciak (HALFORD, TESTAMENT, SEBASTIAN BACH) has delivered another DVD packed with intense heavy metal guitar instruction.

In the newly released "20 Essential Metal Licks" DVD, you will be able to master the essential metal techniques used by artists like METALLICA, PANTERA, SLAYER, DREAM THEATER, IRON MAIDEN and many others. In this feature-filled "Lick Pack" DVD, you'll learn the essential of metal guitar playing, such as two-note harmonies and power chords, alternate-picking and hammer-on accents, pentatonic wide-stretch leads, string-skipping arpeggios, fast alternate picking, legato arpeggios and more! You'll also be treated to artist-specific licks, including melodies à la METALLICA and TESTAMENT, Dimebag Darrell-style picking techniques, and SLAYER-inspired thrash. You will also get a glimpse into the styles of Randy Rhoads, John Petrucci, Jake E. Lee and many others!

The DVD is out now via Guitar World magazine.

Metal Mike will lead the annual "Metal Camp - Mayhem In The Mountains" camp this month at Camp Lakota in the Catskills, New York region. This week-long destination camp brought together with School Of Rock teaches young metallers aged 12-18 all aspects of heavy metal performance, techniques, theory and beyond. The crescendo of the camp is a full-on concert where the students can perform with Mike on stage.

Metal Mike is currently on a guitar clinic tour promoting his newly released solo album, "The Metalworker".
