MESHUGGAH: More Interview Footage With JENS KIDMAN Available

July 27, 2008

Holland's FaceCulture recently conducted an interview with vocalist Jens Kidman of the Swedish experimental extreme metallers MESHUGGAH. Watch the third and final series of clips below.

MetalKult.com has posted a new riff lesson and video interview with MESHUGGAH guitarists Fredrik Thordendal and Mårten Hagström. The interview was filmed on May 1, 2008, at MetalKult's Manhattan headquarters when the Swedish technical metal giants came to New York on MINISTRY's C U LaTouR. MESHUGGAH was touring in support of its latest album, "Obzen", which was released on March 11 on Nuclear Blast. In the lesson, the guitarists talk about their eight-string guitars, extraterrestrial solos, challenging polyrhythms, and time-signature misconceptions before demonstrating how to play some classic riffs from their catalog, including "Rational Gaze", "Bleed", "Electric Red", "Pravus", "New Millenium Cyanide Christ", "The Mouth Licking What You've Bled" and "Future Breed Machine". Go to MetalKult.com to view this footage.

MESHUGGAH's Tomas Haake was recently named the #1 drummer in the "Metal" category in Modern Drummer magazine's 2008 Readers' Poll. The Readers' Poll results appear in the July 2008 issue of the magazine.
