MELECHESH: Footage From Dubai's SANDSTORM FESTIVAL Posted Online

May 24, 2009

Video footage of the Sumerian thrashing black metal act MELECHESH performing at the SandStorm Festival 2009 on May 2 at Chi club in Dubai, United Arab Emirates can be viewed below. Also appearing on the bill were BILOCATE from Jordan and Lebanese extreme metal band KAOTEON.

MELECHESH is currently immersed in writing sessions for the follow-up to the "Emissaries" album. This will be MELECHESH's fifth full-length effort and first for Nuclear Blast Records. No date is set for the recording but it will not be before the fall.

MELECHESH's second album, "Djinn", originally released in 2001, will be remastered and reissued in a special digipack double CD version. The second (bonus) CD will feature the previously unreleased rare "Mesopotamian Metal" "Djinn" promotional demo made for record labels only and has five of the songs found on the album "Djinn". The promo was recorded in Jerusalem in '98 only a few weeks prior to MELECHESH relocating to Europe and features the original MELECHESH drummer Lord Curse.

MELECHESH's latest album, "Emissaries" — the follow-up to 2003's "Sphynx" — was released January 23, 2007 on Osmose Productions/The End Records.
