MELDRUM To Support MOTÖRHEAD And CORROSION OF CONFORMITY In Scandinavia

MELDRUM, the Swedish band led by former PHANTOM BLUE guitarist Michelle Meldrum (wife of EUROPE axeman John Norum), will support MOTÖRHEAD and CORROSION OF CONFORMITY on the Scandinavian leg of their European tour. The dates are as follows:

Oct. 06 - Oslo, NOR @ Spektrum
Oct. 07 - Gothenburg, SWE @ Scandinavium
Oct. 08 - Stockholm, SWE @ Hovet
Oct. 10 - Helsinki, FIN @ Cable Hall
Oct. 11 - Tampere, FIN @ Icehall
Oct. 13 - Hamar, NOR @ House of Culture
Oct. 14 - Stavanger, NOR @ Tennis Hallen

MELDRUM frontwoman Moa Holmsten joined MOTÖRHEAD onstage for a rendition of "Killed by Death" during the band's 30th anniversary DVD shoot at the Astoria in London, U.K. on June 16. The day before, Moa was on the set when MOTÖRHEAD shot the video for their new single, "Whorehouse Blues", and appeared in the clip together with the band "among some fine-looking women and 'worldwide celebrities,'" according to a posting on MELDRUM's web site.

Currently unsigned, MELDRUM are continuing to write and record material to be included on the as-yet-untitled follow-up to their debut album, "Loaded Mental Cannon". An early 2006 release is expected.
