MEL GALLEY To Undergo Surgery To Remove Tumor

January 20, 2008

Mel Galley, former member of the hard rock bands WHITESNAKE, TRAPEZE and PHENOMENA, has issued the following update:

"It is with regret that i have to announce the postponement of my two shows scheduled for the end of March. This is due to me having to undergo surgery to remove a tumour that has been found in my oesophagus. At this stage i have no other details I can give as i am awaiting further tests. I thought it best to be upfront and clear rather than just say 'personal circumstances' or something similar.

"All tickets already purchased will remain valid for the rescheduled shows. I cannot say when they will be but I can assure you I intend to play them.

"I know there are several fans who have already booked flights and hotels and i hope you are able to obtain refunds etc.

"If there is any further news, I will keep you informed.

"In the meantime my page and the TRAPEZE page will be looked after by my webmaster, so please continue to visit. Messages and comments will be passed on to me.

"Thank you all for your support over the last 12 months."
