MEGADETH's GLEN DROVER TO Receive New Graphic Guitar

MEGADETH guitarist Glen Drover has posted the following message in the "Forums" section of the band's official web site:

"Just wanted to drop all of you a few lines to share some new and exciting news…..

"My good friends at Dean Guitars are now presently working on a nice new graphic guitar for me, which will have (yes, you guessed it) the front cover artwork for 'United Abominations'! I have seen how this guitar will look and all I can say is… AMAZING!!!! Fans of my older 'Peace Sells' guitar will love this one! Should be ready for the beginning of the U.S. tour in September.

"Speaking of gear, there may also be some changes to my live rig, which I cannot expand on right now. Stay tuned for that info…

"Aside from that, I have been doing some serious R&R [rest and relaxation] here at home since the end of the last tour, starting to get into shape for the next U.S. run and also looking foward to visiting all of our friends in Alaska!! We are all very excited about this trip!!!!"

MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine took part in a question-and-answer session with the Dutch branch of Roadrunner Records in late June at the Hellfest in Clisson, France. Watch the seven-minute video clip at this location.

According to, EMI will release a new MEGADETH box set, entitled "Warchest", on October 15, 2007. The set, which will apparently be available in North America as an import only, will contain four CDs and one DVD. The exact contents of the box set are expected to be revealed soon.

MEGADETH's U.S. tour this fall kicks off in Anchorage, Alaska on September 4, taking the band through 24 U.S. cites ending up in Norfolk Virginia on October 6. Support on the dates will come from IN THIS MOMENT and THE CONFESSION.

MEGADETH's latest CD, "United Abominations", has sold 117,000 copies in the United States since its May 15 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
