MEGADETH's DAVE MUSTAINE To Record 'Peace Sells' For 'Rock School' Soundtrack

MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine has posted the following message in the "Forum" section of the group's official web site:

"The last of the touring gear showed up here in Fallbrook yesterday. And excluding the new gear that we had to get, (James' bass cab cases) only my horses are left to complete my move back to Cali.

"I really miss Arizona already, and I will be trying go back and visit all my friends, fans, and the land out there that I love. Other than that I am readjusting back to California life. Remember, I am a California native that was born in San Diego, so I just have to do some re-adjusting.

"Now, some news: Bob Chippardi [of Concrete Marketing] asked me if I would be interested in singing 'Peace Sells' for a movie soundtrack, and I asked for more info. It seems there is a real 'Rock School' behind the movie of the same name [see previous BLABBERMOUTH.NETstory for more information].

"And the students have recorded 'Peace Sells', to which I am honored and am going to be cutting vocals for a special edition of this classic for them. It should be good fun, and please don't get all critical and stuff! It's kids!"

In a separate posting, Mustaine wrote:

"It is very early here (5:30ish) and I wanted to update you on the Euro/UK tour.

"I talked to my agent, Mike Dewdney, on Monday, and we are ending the tour in Granada Spain, with hopes to come back this summer. The dates are all confirmed and tickets are disappearing. During the conversation we talked about the tentative trip to Japan/Australia/South America in April and they are busy finding venues and dates as we speak.

"Again, we have offers to come back to Euro/UK this summer, so if I missed you, don't get yer panties bunched up. Being the last tour and all, I wanna make sure to hit all of the countries I have played in over the years one last time. Yes, that includes France too.

"Tickets are booked and I get to beautiful Ireland on the 29th so I can rehearse a lil; I wanna be as tight as I was when I left off in the USA. I won't prolly add any songs to the two-hour setlist I already have, so I'm gonna hope that's good enough for ya!"
