MEGADETH's DAVE MUSTAINE Shows Off New Guitar

Portugal's Loud! magazine has published several photos of MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine posing with his signature ESP Axxion guitar. The axe, which was designed by Mustaine, is reportedly available in a limited edition only 200 units worldwide. Check out the pictures: Photo#1, Photo#2, Photo#3.

MEGADETH's highly anticipated new album, "The System Has Failed", is scheduled for release on September 14 through Sanctuary Records. The CD was recorded at Phase Four studios in Tempe, Arizona and features Mustaine alongside drummer Vinnie Colaiuta and bassist Jimmy Sloas. Additional lead guitar tracks were laid down by former MEGADETH guitarist Chris Poland.

"The System Has Failed" will be MEGADETH's first album since the announcement that Mustaine was disbanding the group following a serious accident in early 2002. At the time, it was unknown if severe nerve damage in his left arm would leave him able to perform again.
