December 9, 2016

MEGADETH is rumored to be playing a special intimate show at the Saint Vitus bar in Brooklyn, New York on Monday, December 12 — one day ahead of the band's appearance at the Revolver Music Awards at Webster Hall in New York City.

MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine is hosting this year's Revolver Music Awards, which he promoted by bartending at the event's announcement party on November 1 at Saint Vitus.

On Thursday (December 8),Saint Vitus put up the image below on the venue's Instagram account, suggesting that MEGADETH will play there on Monday under the name VIC AND THE RATTLEHEADS. The event is being co-sponsored by the Quebec, Canada-based craft brewery Unibroue, which recently collaborated with Mustaine on the official MEGADETH beer À Tout Le Monde.

Here is what Saint Vitus wrote about getting tickets:

"So these are the rules to get tickets so pay attention!

1. Only them. No openers
2. Tickets will be available for purchase AT THE BAR ONLY on Thursday 12/8 and Friday 12/9 from 6-8PM, and Saturday 12/10 from 2-4PM, selling 60 tickets each day.
3. Tickets are $50 and cash only. Tickets will be all will call and non transferable. First-come, first-served. Again, we are only selling 60 tickets each day so when they're gone, we're done!"

A little more information on the concert is available at the mystery show's Facebook event page.

MEGADETH has played a number of "secret" shows in the past under the name VIC AND THE RATTLEHEADS, going back more than two decades.
