MEGADETH: Remixes Of Early Albums Tentatively Set To Surface In July

May 6, 2004

MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine has posted another message on the band's official forum. It reads as follows:

"From my calendar, barring there are no surprises, the remixes [of the MEGADETH back catalog] will be in your hands in less than 85 days (end of July) at the most.

"I am trying for July 13th, but it may be July 27. At that point there will be plenty of me to go around for a while.

"Even if you got one record every week or two, by the time you got all of the remixes, the new record will be playing on the radio, and there will be a promo clip or two already linked up here.

"I am so excited about performing for you again, and the looks on your faces when you hear the new songs. And I can tell you this, I had some of the previous members come to the studio to listen to their old records that I remixed and we are going to post some of their quotes.

"But the best one was when Nick [Menza], Chuck [Behler], and Jeff [Young] all said at the same time, 'Dude, you should have fired your band a long time ago, you just made the record of your life.'

"I was very honored, as these guys will be my brothers for the rest of our lives. And they were no slouches at playing MEGADETH music too."
